Wow with the nice weather lately I haven't even checked my email every day and I see its been over two weeks since writing in here. I don't know how my friend Sara does it every day.
I have been trying to do little things everyday outside to make things easier to keep up this summer. Last summer nothing got done because of being down and out with 2 surgeries so I have catching up to do.
I rented a roto tiller last week when the kids had off so I could finally level out the place I work my horse and then like 3 days later the friend that lent me the round pen last year needed it back. So I now have a tilled flattish area but no enclosure. Something always makes my path to the thing I enjoy doing, riding horses, blocked or very rocky. Oh well add it to everything else.
I had the boys till up a spot for a garden this year. Megan and I are finally going to be able to plant one together and hopefully have things grow this year. Megan did one by herself last year with a little help but it was not much of a success.
The hubby and I got a gift certificate for an inn in Old Forge, NY from a person Dave works with. She won it at a raffle and heard from Dave all the frustration and hard work we put in to get the house ready for the appraisal at the end of last year so she gave it to us for a weekend away when all was settled. So next weekend off we go for three nights away from home. The mother in law is coming down to watch the kids, you would think with an 18 and 16yr we could leave without a babysitter, and off we go to spend time together doing nothing we don't want to. I think I plan on spending most of my time in the hot tub lol.
Well I am off to my most unfavorite place, the dentist, for a cleaning so they can tell me how much work I have to have on my teeth done that I can't afford. I think I should just have them all pulled and get dentures and be done with it.

Spring?
We had our first thunder storm tonight,
to bad it is the front moving in to make
wet snow on Sunday. I love thunder storms.
Its exciting and scary all in one. The smell and
the feel, and the sound. Also that it is a sure
sign that spring is here.
We have had some wonderfully warm sunny
days the past 3 days. I have missed all 3 being
stuck in the dungeon at work or sick puking in
bed. I did get some energy on Tuesday when I
got home from work and went out and spent
snuggle time with my horses. The warm weather
will hopefully be staying soon and I will have a lot
more time to spend with them.
The day light is helping some with my mood
with it getting light at 6ish and not getting dark
till after 8pm.
I was just talking to my daughter
about the show on the BBC "You Are What You
Eat" when the lady comes and picks apart your
diet and then shows you how horrible it is and then
shows you how to change it. Well I would sign up
for that show in an instant if they had it in the US.
That and the biggest loser. Time, money, energy
and motivation are lacking to make the changes I
need to make to get myself back.
Insomnia again tonight but I am off to try again to get some
sleep.

JUST WORDS ??????
I have a very good friend that has a problem
with the words like "gay", Homo, and faggot
being used as an adjective to describe usually
a bad thing. Ever since she mentioned this in
her blog I have been consciously listening
to people and their remarks. It is kinda scary
how often these phrases are used even by my
own children. I see this down the same lines as
using the Lords name in vain. I am not
overly religious but it still bothers me
when some one says God Damn it or Jesus
Christ as an expression of negativity. I can
see now why those words can hurt.
My son mocks people when they say thing like this. Say
the same statement but insert something else in
its place and it sound absurd.
Where do some of these responses come from. Like the one it "hurts
like a bitch", how does a bitch hurt or "that's so gay"
hmmm. It is amazing how words get used out of
context and you don't even know you are doing it.
I have begun the re pharseology for my kids just
like when they were little and we had to teach them
that saying shut up or potty mouth was not acceptable.
I have learned a lot about human rights and how unfair
our country is. My friend is one of the few lucky ones
who are legally married. But a lot of people in same sex
relationships get the short end of the stick when it comes
to rights. It is beyond understanding why. I am pretty
sure who I am voting for now after seeing Hillary on
Ellen. She is the best chance of equality we have as
long as she sticks to her guns. Unfortunately one of
the reason she may not get elected is because of were
she stands on this issue.
So for now I will try to change my little part of the
world in respects to not using words that hurt and
go forth from there.

Here I sit waiting to see if anybody pays attention to their alarm clocks.
Sean is up and moving but the rest our quiet. I know I know its a little
late in the game to be teaching them to get up on their own but they
have to learn sometime. One going off to college and next year I have
to find a full time job so all will be responsible for themselves or have
to deal with daddy. And I know daddy won't be up to dealing.
So I am off for a leisurely bowl of cereal and then out the door.

Wow what a beautiful day today and yesterday.
Just wish I felt good enough to enjoy. Tomorrow
is the day I finally call and make an appointment
at the doctors to help figure out why I am as limp
as a noodle and can't do anything without being
totally worn out.
This warm weather adds to the plate the many
things needing to be done outside as well as inside.
The spring is flying soon summer will be upon us.
I have one wanting to go to football camp, one I already
signed up for a swim camp at Hartwick college and will
figure out how to pay for that one later.
I am hoping for a more productive summer in the horse
department this year. It was a total wash out last year
due to having all my body parts removed.
Life is just flying by and I feel like I am missing a lot.
I can't believe my baby is graduating this year and
gets all dressed to take a beautiful young lady to the
senior ball and will be leaving me to go to college next
fall. Life is gonna get crazier starting very soon.
The sunny days at least have helped to motivate me
to start exercising again so hopefully that will help me
get more energy and start the ball rolling.
So off into the sunset and hopefully more energetic days
in the future.

The Senior Ball finally was attended
last night after being canceled a month ago.
The tux and the flowers were reordered and
they were off to the Ball. The parents were
giving tickets to go at around 11:30pm to
view the crowning but I decided not to go.
So of course Ian got picked for the court.
Somebody better have gotten some pictures
and then maybe I can stop kicking myself.
He rolled in around 4am and had the time of
his life. Now on to the junior prom. Busy boy.
